New Year, new life. This is the feeling we get when we finish a year and start a new one. It’s also very commonly known that some of the positive resolutions we make can also fade way after few weeks or months into the year. Why it is challenging to keep being positive and happy all the time?

Let’s start from the very beginning, look at the babies, we are born happy and free of drama. Our bodies felt wonderful, super flexible and full of wonder, so much to enjoy and discover here. If we are hungry we cry, the louder the better, there is not shame in cry, no judgement and especially when food comes fast! If we have trouble sleeping and feel tired we know our body needs to rest, solution cry some more! Someone will help for sure.

As we grow, we learn to fall and what pain is, but we still are very positive. We fall crying in protest but soon stand up once again and are ready for the next adventure, no fear to be happy, worry free and daring.

Then what happens? We are raised by adults, who were also raised by other adults, and so we start to forget how to be positive in our bodies and minds. It is nobody fault here it is just the what often happens.

We are born wired to be positive, to function in an optimum mode in our body and mind which are in harmony.
Is it possible to be positive most of the time? To feel wonderful about out lives? To really like ourselves and keep the wonderful feel for our bodies and keep our new year resolutions in place until the follow year? Yes! It is. Is it very difficult? Do we need a magical solution? No, we don’t. It can be challenging in the beginning, but it is very much possible and it can be fun and inspiring.

The solution is simple, we need to remember, we need to wire ourselves back again in a positive mode.
How do we do it?

First we use hope, the same one that makes us planning on new year resolutions.

Hope makes us to feel good. Yet, hope alone doesn’t work. We need to feel it, deep in our bodies, once we feel we start to have faith. Then the brain processes the information of success and infinite possibilities. To have faith we need to trust and to trust we need to believe. How do we believe? Remembering! Because our body and brain already know it is possible.

If we start our day and pay close attention to just one single breath and remember how good and easy it is to breath. Or if we go next to the mirror and really look at ourselves and then remember…”wait I know you!” It is enough to release endorphin, dopamine and serotonin into our blood steam. The body knows, the mind knows we need just to help it remember.

Just redo the new year resolution everyday, keep it in our hearts and do not forget. Start everyday with a choice to go back to our natural happiness, to program ourselves to be in a constant positive wiring mode.
