I started to work with bodywork in 2004, my work was primarily with adults and seniors. Then about four years ago, I became certified pediatric massage therapist as well, I wanted to help children and their parents.

Childhood is one of the most important phases of our life, it is our seed, and also where the most painful traumas are formed.

We are all born as happy and positive little babies, content with our bodies and very dependent on our parents, especially our mom to survive. Humans are the species that take longer to get independent.

So our parents, fed us and make sure we are safe and clean and happy. Our parents are our heroes and our entire world, we try to copy them and we look up for them for safety and validation. As children, we are not emotionally independent.

We do not have strong boundaries, if any. And we are very vulnerable. Small words can hurt deep, and we can have profound traumas that might follow us all our lives. But children are magic, they have an amazing imagination and sense of infinite possibility, as we all should be! And when our magic breaks, it produces strong emotions and feelings that the body will always remember. The opposite is also true, we will forever remember, cheer and miss the true moments of our childhood. Either way it is phase where we need the most love and care, in order to become healthy adults, but even the most wonderful of the parents, teachers, or family members won’t be able to prevent us to at some point have our little hearts broken.

When it happens there are two situations that can happen, one is the memory will be kept alive for us and hopefully we will be able at some point get over it, or we will bury it deep down in our subconscious and it will one they, when we are ready to deal with it, comes back.

We also as a child deal with, school environment, peer pressure, teacher and family expectations about us. The world of a kid is a wild one and it can sometimes be very stressful. To add on top of everything, we are not so refined in our communication skills, our natural tendencies are more often than not overlooked and we can be left un-comprehended.

Children take everything personally, they are innocent and vulnerable, they are also very resistant and highly adaptable if they are giving support, love, understanding and most importantly, space!

As a mother I wanted to help my children to strive, I am far from perfect mother, but I do my best. I believe, like all the other mothers in the world do. As a healer I wanted to help ease the stress and pressure these little people can face in everyday life.

During childhood, we have strong faith, but unfortunately this faith is not in ourselves.

In my work I help my pediatric clients to learn how to deal better with stress and how to integrate their feelings, expectations, and emotions with their little bodies. To be able to build strong boundaries is an important thing, learn self compassion too. It is sad to see little children with trigger points in their shoulder, children facing panic attacks or high anxiety, and it is scary to see how acceptable seem to be this kids be over medicate and numb their little bodies and feelings.

I do hope that I can do my little part in helping one child at the time, the health is the see, the healthier and happy is the world.
